the magnificent: dj jazzy jeff

recently, the dopest dj to still be alive came to san francisco and delivered an epic set i've never heard anyone dj spin. i've seen him spin before, about 10 years in sacramento, where i learned how dope this dj is. a pretty good set and the beat juggling, scratching and clean blends. in san francisco, he threw down hip hop, soul, r&b, house and punk rock. yeah, punk rock. he did it all seamlessly but not in that particular order. there was no break to segway in the next track. it was all continuous and just like before, scratching, beat juggling and blends we all clean. he was truly magnificent!

so where ever you are, if he's coming to a city near you, don't sleep!

costa rica / panama

i've finally had some time to grab a photo, add some slight touches to it and put down some words about my recent trip to costa rica and panama. to sum up the whole trip: an experience of a lifetime! it's one of those moments where you say "i'll never forget it - i have to come back". the people, the food and yes of course, the weather!

the photo above was taken on the costa rican side of the costa rica/panama border crossing. i was 1-2 minutes away from speaking with the immigration officer, which is a must before crossing the border.
